No Magic Pill
OK, so for those of you who read the last blog you realized the above – there’s no magic pill to getting healthy or losing weight. It takes a consistent effort and a desire to be healthy. This time frame will be different for everyone. Like I said, don’t compare. Just make it your mission. What do you have without your health? Living life with your health is EVERYTHING. You can do whatever you want.
So start thinking green and buy a food processor. I like having a slicer also. I got my food processor at the flea market for $10-$20. I use the food processor to quickly make a “salad” out of fresh veggies. It doesn’t always have to be about lettuce. What you can use instead is a fresh bed of sprouts of any kind, put your chopped veggies on top and some of your fravorite low fat, low cal dressing. I sometimes just like a little Veganaise. Sometimes olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Some sea salt is good. We need the minerals.
So this week just experiment with that. Shop in the produce section. Some fruit for breakfast is good. An apple with oatmeal (not the instant kind) or other low sugar fruits like berries and grapefruit. It’s good to keep the sugar down in case you are struggling with candida. I like to take Grapefruit Seed Extract in pill form to kill any bacteria, mold, fungus, yeast, etc. in my system. It’s cheap to buy and does a world of good.
Oh, and you can make a roll up instead of having bread. Just use the slicer to finely slice some tomato, cucumber, onion, green pepper, whatever and roll it up!! Avacado is good too. It has the good oils. Put your favorite veggies on it and go to work. Nothing could be easier.
